    ASF hides?

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone uses hides or anything in particular in their ASF cages. I recently put a hide in with them and they seem to have no interest in it, other that sitting on top of it. Now my rats on the other hand love their hide and use them all the time.

I was wondering what everyone else does when it comes to hides, and if you use them what do you use and how big is it?

I have a hide in my ASF tank. They sometimes use it but instead prefer to do this:

    Lol

    Re: ASF hides?

I always tossed in an empty toilet paper roll with each cage cleaning. They seemed to like those.

I use toilet/paper towel rolls too. Some use em, they all chew them to bits. Good temporary entertainment for ASF.

    Re: ASF hides?

I keep the little mini-igloos in with them and they are always inside them. I keep little pieces of 2x3 wood in with them for chewing, they chew on the igloo and the wood. Mine love them.

I give mine cardboard boxes that I change out as often as needed. They chew on them, sit on them, pee on them, hide in them.... often though it takes a couple days before they decide it's not a rat trap.

I will admit, I read the title "ASF hides" and thought "Why is he skinning out asf... and what could you make with such tiny hides?"

They make some real nice tiny gloves, haha. No, I was just curious if and what people use for them. I just threw in some black plastic hides and paper towel rolls.
