They're here!!
It feels like I've been waiting for these forever, but my first two clutches of the year are here at last.
Kina, my Mojave, had 8 eggs last Saturday. 7 fertile and 1 slug. It was her first clutch, so I think she did very well. Here she is with her eggs:
She was bred to my Pastel, my Vanilla and my Woma, so this is my "Who's your daddy?" clutch.
And Akashi, the pride of my collection and by far my favorite snake, had hers last night. 12. That's right 12! All 12 are fertile with strong veins. The clutch weighed an awesome 1300 grams! Here she is with her eggs:
She was bred exclusively to my awesome Fire male, with the hope his fantastic color combined with her phenomenal blushing would make some amazing Fire babies. Time will tell if my hunch was right.

Yes, Akashi is my pride and joy. She's a huge snake, but gentle as a lamb. Even when I took her off her eggs, the worst she did was huff a little, and try to keep me from taking her out.
She is just a normal, but as you can see she has a great pattern and a lot of bright blushing, and it is my hope she will throw some stunning Fires.
Just prior to laying, she weighed in at 3900 grams, so I was hoping for a big clutch, but I never dreamed she'd have 12.
I am so very excited and happy.
