    Need some opinions! (pictures!)

    Hey everyone!

So now that my rack is all set up and temperatures and humidity are all holding nicely i figured that I'd be picking up another snake soon!

So my first question is do you feel this 2007 male spider (Proven breeder) is a good deal for 125.00$?

Proof that he knows his stuff:

Now my second question pertains to breeding, hence why i decided to put it within this section. I wanted to know if i should worry about the age of this male. In short is there such a thing as a male becoming to old and lazy to breed?

    Thanks ahead of time!

Considering that I bought a Spider hatchling (2011) for $125... yes I would say that this is a great deal

As far as I know BP's can and will breed their entire lives (after they've hit sexual maturity)

Thanks for the quick reply Serp!

I won't be breeding for a while, for those who know me i am pretty OCD when it comes to doing things. I had my first enclosure setup for a month with no snake within it until i got all the levels straight. I'm not about to start breeding until i know what to expect!

How would you rate that spider?

I personally like the reduced pattern look, the whites are not that high but the pattern looks clean.

Haha thanks for the reply snakesrkewl,

I'm a worry wort but i am almost 100% positive i am going to be buying this male. Regardless i have been wanting a spider since i first started within the passion for caring for ball pythons, but decided to go with a pastel for my first instead.

Hopefully picking up this male within a few days!

    Thanks for the reply rob,

I'm always finicky to buy, not always a bad thing, but definitely leaves me satisfied and prepared when i do buy.

Looks like a nice spider to me. For a proven male that size they usually go for $200+ so i would say $125 is an awesome deal. I see most spider male hatchlings at shows for $125. No pics of the new rack though lol???

The above link is to the rack build thread i made a while ago, since the pictures and the video that i have attached to that thread (The last couple of posts). I have adhered the melamine edging to the rack, Lilly (my female pastel) has eaten and shed, and seems to be loving her new enclosure and all the space to sprawl out.

I really like his pattern! It's so reduced and thin! I wouldn't mind having that spider in my collection at all. I would rate him as a 7/10 because his whites aren't super high. That doesn't mean he won't shoot high whites though !
