RIP mangrove snake- One year ago today
Exactly one year ago, I lost my Mangrove snake (boiga dendrophilia), Iris. whe had fought a battle with pneumonia and a heavy parasite load and finally succumbed. She was the typical fiery mangrove until her last two months, where she lost alot of ground. She was a beautiful animal and the first snake Ive lost due to a cause besides old age. Its been one year and I just wanted to share that, since I still have a picture of her on the end of my snake hook as my phone wallpaper. This is my first post here so sorry if this is out of order.

So sorry to hear about your loss. We have a mangrove that was given to us, because it's previous owner dropped it off due to his inability/unwillingness to properly treat for a nasty abscess. I certainly am familiar with the term "fiery" in reference to a mangrove. Definitely neat snakes, and I'm sorry you had to lose yours.

So sorry for your loss, it's always hard losing a member of the family. I recently lost my beardie a few weeks ago and am still having a tough time with her loss. I buried her in my backyard and sit and visit with her at least a few times a week.

Well, I'm just glad that she went quickly relatively speaking. I have heard of snakes going on suffering for months with the ailments she had. I lit a candle for her last night
