    boas changeing colors

so today i was holding my boa and i noticed that she would get lighter or darker depending on how warm she is when she is cold she will turn a really dark color almost black but when she is warm is like a light smoke gray color i did not think boas could do that let me know if your boa ever does that cause i curious if other peoples boas do it and btw she is a central american red tail so i dont know if that has something to do with it or not

Yep, boas do change colors slightly based on temperature, time of day, shed cycle, etc. However, the biggest color changes are more gradual changes as they age.

It is really neat, but it can be obnoxious when I want to show off my pretty girl and find that she's on the cool side of the enclosure and has darkened significantly.

Almost all snakes do to some degree. Boas tend to be quite a bit more noticeable then pythons though. They darken while they're cold to help absorb heat. Gravid females darken up BIG TIME.
