Too Humid?
Hey guys. So I checked on my eggs today. The three eggs I thought were slugs are molding, which I expected to happen. With the five eggs I thought were good, however, one is sunken and molding and then on another it seems to be growing furr. Is this mold? Should I be worried about my humidity being too high at this point? I am really worried. When I candle them I can only see good veins on one egg and then what looks like a red ring of veins on another. Help...

Re: Too Humid?
what temps are you incubating at? What type of substrate? Can you post pics of it? Are you setting it in the incubation material or on the light diffusers?
Do you have a humidity gauge to check the humidity levels? Is it beading water inside or on the inside of the top of the lid? Are you using press and seal or just the containers lid?

The temp is between 89-90 at all times. We are using vermiculite with a light difuser on top, so they are not sitting in or on the substrate.
I do not have a humidity gage, unfortunately. There is condensation on the sides of the tubs. I am just using the lids of the tubs, not any press and seal.

Definetly invest in humidity gauge...its just as important as temp when incubating.
