Goodbye to Peanut
Peanut was the founding male of my ASF colony. He was originally going to be fed off, but he wormed his was into my heart. He would let me pick him up and hold him, he would even lay on his back and let me rub his belly. He was the nicest and largest ASF that I've ever had (121 grams!!!), and I've been breeding just over a year. His disposition seemed to be inherited and most of his offspring were similar to him. His favorite activity was running on his wheel, he even took newborn pinks on there and ran with them in his mouth. (The mom wasn't pleased.) Peanut passed away last weekend. I went to check on them and he was gone. He was fine the night before. He was approximately 1.5 years old, but he lived a happy life. I miss him so much.
RIP Peanut

Re: Goodbye to Peanut
Poor little peanut. That's sad, I am sorry for your loss. What a goofy guy taking the pinks for a walk.
