I like that you can actually see the detail in the eyes. With the dark colored eyes that most BP's have, so often in pictures the eye just looks like a black orb. With the detail visible, you can see just how cool looking their eyes really are.

What's an offset flash?? (sorry, I'm from Holland so don't know that term)

An offset flash is just a flash that you can disconnect from the camera, and position off to the side, to side-light your subject.
