    Missing a leg

When moving my Asfs today I noticed one of my small females is missing an entire front leg. She is always hiding and more shy of the two babies. Doesnt seem to bother her but wondered if I should just feed her off? These younger ones are much nicer than the older ones, and I got two GIANT males a few days ago that did not hurt nor were hurt with my colony of females of different sizes I kept the males together, thats how they came, and put everyone in a giant clean tub with vanilla on their noses. Not a harsh word from anyone.

If it has no apparent health issues and it is only a physical deformity I would say feed it. I wouldn't it believe that it would have a high quality of life otherwise. If it is anything more than just the missing leg and would prove to be a questionable prey item I would dispose of the animal.

I had one that chewed its own leg off when it got stuck in a toy they had once. She had a fine quality of life, and I believe she's still happily living in a pet home.

I wouldn't worry too much. If she looks like she's doing fine, then she's doing fine. I would keep her unless you think she's not doing well.

My friend has a 2 legged mouse that is thriving. She was born without its front arms. Aside from the missing limbs, she acts perfectly normal. She can climb and do most things a normal mouse can.

I have a elderly male rat who is missing his front feet and one back foot(probably bumblefoot from before I got him), and he's doing well. He walks on his stumps(on nice soft aspen shred), he's got one or two girls at any time who dote on him, and he feeds himself holding his food or treats in his little stumps like a champ.

He is finally starting to show some age, so I'm watching to see if his quality of life is going down. He's still chubby and doing well though. His name is Gimpy and since he'd been through so much before I got the colony, I figured he deserved a retirement. He even snuggles up with babies(he's fathered two litters!! One was 10 babies!).

ASFs are kinda cute actually. I think the only reason why rodents freak me out a little is bc of their beady little red eyes lol. The none albino rodents arent so bad i guess lol
