Is it concerning to anyone that my bp moves at rapid speeds in her tank?

I'm laying here in bed watching my bp, and I have never and I mean never seen a bp move so quickly in my entire life. I am not kidding she looks like a puppy running around after a ball. In the heated hide (right at 90 degrees) in the soaking bowl, in the humid hide, on top of her heated hide. She just randomly came out of her humid hide and now she's everywhere. Not just like a slow slither here to this to check this out. No, she is moving quickly! Like Gardner snake fast. Bps are normally slower and stuff which is why I'm sort of concerned.

I wouldn't be immediately concerned, just keep an eye on her, she will probably settle down soon. Something might have startled her.

I agree that she was probably startled. Also, BPs take a while to settle into their new environment, so she might still be in the "exploring" stage. Is she making any weird movements other than moving quickly?

X2 ......especially if you see her hanging in her water bowl. You have to look really close they look like little moving periods. They may also be shoved under scales, look around the pits and eyes they love getting in there.

I would guess stress. She is new, after she settles in and has a meal or two she may calm down. How many hides in how big of a tank do you have?

She may be training for the Olympics coming up in London this summer , sorry bad joke . I would say startled Fang didn't move around fast when he had mites but all snakes act different . Are u also sure that the temps are only at 90 because she may be hot

The temps were all good. Checked for mites! No burns. Humidity is at 55%. I ended up taking her back to petco because it just kind of scared me that 2 snakes I have gotten from petco/petsmart have been.. Different experiences. So I took everyone's advice and went to a breeder and got a good healthy male that I have had no problems with! He's a happy camper and loves his little humid box I made him I'm a happy girl now! So happy I listened and got one from a breeder. Muuuch better
