    Reusing shipping boxes

I havnt shipped much but I was wondering if anyone ever reused the shipping box's, that is if they are in decent condition? Like I said I havnt before but always wondered if other people do. Ive seen some pretty beat up box's come to me thats why I ask.

    Re: Reusing shipping boxes

    Some do, some don't.

Personally I prefer to use a new box every time I ship...

I prefer to use new boxes when shipping, makes it more professional then re-using boxes.

+3. New boxes. When I receive a snake in a used box I just don't think the seller was very professional.

I mainly use new boxes. But when a box comes to me and it's in really good condition I have no issue reusing. Mostly my reused boxes go to buddies of mine in the business that buy or trade animals with me. New customers get new boxes.

This seems like a good way to do it. A little recycling in there.

Recycling is never a bad thing. Sometimes it's good to save a bit of money here or there.

If the box is in good shape, I don't mind reusing it.

I hate throwing away a perfectly good box. I just hate waste. However I'll spray them down and leave them in the garage for a couple of months before I'll reuse them. I actually got a load of mites one time from someone reusing a snake bag, It was unfortunate because the guy is actually a very concientious breeder, he didn't realize someone else had shipped him snakes with mites until I called to let him know. I'll reuse bags too, but they go through the washer first on the sanitary setting.
