    Do Hypo's change colors?

I purchased a little male Hypo het albino from Ben Seigels and he arrived in the mail this morning. He is very handsome, but is quite grey. All the pictures of hypos ive seen were a very orange/brown color? Do they change color as they age or are they grey sometimes?
Sorry for no picture, but I am at work and cant post one right now.

I have a young hypo boa as well. From what I've seen of pictures their color can change drastically as they age, usually for the better. I have to admit my girl -- although she's very light with a bright orange tail -- looks somewhat different from the pics I've seen of adult hypos, but I've noticed that the younger ones resemble her a lot more. And her parents (I've seeen the father in person and pics of the mother) look a lot more orange than she does. So I'm thinking they grow into their color a bit over time. Your snake also might just be in or approaching shed.

Congrats on the new snake. Would love to see pics when you can. Baby boas are the cutest.

    Re: Do Hypo's change colors?

    Ooh, congrats! I love hypos.

Yes. Most boas go through dramatic color changes. Hypos can go either way but usually they improve. Grey pigmentation is prevalent in most baby Colombians; over their first two or three years they lose more and more grey with every shed and develop richer, warmer colors.

Many hypo babies can look somewhat different. As adults, some will look more orange and some will appear more coffee-n-cream. They all change color on into adulthood though. These pictures do not quite show the coloring well enough, but here are my 2 baby hypos. They are both het for anery (ghost) and they both look drastically different from each other...

Peaches is very pink and coral with peach and cream blushing and "painted-on" rusty tail markings. Her pattern is very crisp and clean and she positively glows when fresh shed.

Jasper is much more silver in color. He doesn't have much blushing, but his saddles have a distinct lavender hue and overall, his coloring is almost muted.

My little Hypo girl went through a vast color change within the past year! I hope to see moe changes from her as she grows.

Here's a pic of her from May of 2011 (got her in April) at just a wee ~100 grams:

    And from late December 2011:

I'll join in the pic party. Although my girl's still little, I think this might help show how different hypos can be in color and shade... I'm excited to see if she turns out like her parents, or completely different.

    My boa:

(I'm sure she'll darken up over time, but I'm curious to see whether her whole shade changes. Right now she's mostly just pink and bright orange, especially down by her tail.)

If it is really small/young, it may not have lost it's baby grays.

As the others have shown they do change color. My baby girl has changed a lot since I got her.
