    Big enough?

I was wondering if one of those medium-sized critter cages is big enough to house a single male mouse? The demensions are 11.75"Lx7.6"Wx8"H Thanks!

I think the smallest I've seen people cage a very small BP in is a 15 qt tub, which is 17"x11" and that doesn't last too long.

    That sounds alright to me.
I know the lab I work in, houses their lab mice in smaller enclosures.

The OP wants to house a single mouse.

And the smallest tub hatchling bps can go into is 6qts. But you're right. It doesn't last long.

Another question, is it at all possible to keep a 1.1 in there? including babies. I assume not but idk.

I think it's big enough for 1.1 and babies, but not more adults.

sweet, i might do that. Is it bad to just have a 1.1? i've heard it might stress the male or something.

It is large enough for 1.1 but just barely. I would remove the buck when the female has a litter, because it will be very crowded. I run my mice in lab bins, and I keep 1 female in a lab bin and move the males around when i need them, but remove when there is a litter on the way.

It will not stress out the male to be alone, or with 1 female.
You can sometimes find KKs at yard sales of flea markets pretty cheap, also check reptile stores for used ones, I get the large ones all the time, for like $3 used at the reptile store here.

I thought you couldn't move the males around cause the females will attack them? And also, mine is a critter tote by all living things from petsmart. idk if it is different from kk's but do you use water bottles or something else? i can't figure out a way to hook one up. thanks!

You can get a water bottle holder like this to hang off the edge of the enclosure: http://www.petco.com/product/105628/...eedersWaterers

You can also hang something like this off the top,
