I'm so glad you got those poor babies to somewhere safe and warm where they'll be loved and cared for.

THanks for the kind words guys. Started the soaks with them. A ton of mites came off the male and the female. I soaked 15 minutes in normal water and 15 in the betadine solution. He loved the soaks and probably feels a lot better now. Well take some pics tonight to show his nose healing up. The big girl loves her heat tape side of her cage. Plus I am building new cages this weekend. I also order some Provent a mite. I will kill this infestation one way or another. Hope the boy eats this weekend.

Thanks for posting this thread, it's heartwarming to see these two being taken care of after all that abuse. Excited to see the new pics.

Wow, so glad those snakes found you! I'm glad that they're doing well and responding to care, can't wait to see some more pics once they're back at full health!

Also I want to agree with your thought that the girl may be a Nicaraguan, her face/head look almost exactly like my friend's rescued Nic (minus the mild deformation caused by seriously terrible mouth rot). Once your male perks up and sheds it'll probably be easier to guess him, but I definitely agree that he's probably not a normal.

Ugh, people who get snakes just because they're "macho"... I wish they would just stick to their motorcycles and whatnot! I'm so glad you were able to save these two... looks like that male needs some serious care. I'm also really glad you didn't have to pay him to get them - it always feels to me like people think it's okay to keep them in that condition, since they made some money off the animals...
I'm feeling happy for them now, though, that you got them.

Thanks guys. I realy hope the male pulls through and katma gets the guy whi had them. Im going to get some pest strips this weekend. I'm waiting to hear back about my cage supplies so I can build the new cages and waiting in my PAM to get here. I'll take some new pics tonight after I try to feed the little man. Big girl ate last night surprisingly. And she aggressively ate which is a good sign.

    NEW DEVELOPEMENT!
The Male (Petri) ate tonight! It was a small rat, not what he should be eating but with a broken jaw I had to give him something small. I left it in the cage with him for a little bit and he took it down like a champ. I am so happy he ate. I have the follow up appointment on tuesday for him. I'm excited to see him put weight back on. As for big mama (Nemesis) she ate on saturday with the rest of my collection. She hit the rat hard. Feels so good seeing these two start to turn around.

People like the dude that had these poor snakes before you should be treated like he treated them. Lets see if he likes to be starved and freezing and living in filth.

You are an angel for taking them in and caring for them. I can't wait to see them glowing with health for you
