That's pretty much the general idea of this project.

It is not too late. I am still in the early design/testing stages. (I can only work on this when I'm not in class or at work so it is slow going)

My biggest goal for this project is to make a modular/expandable system that works better than what we currently have available. The added bells and whistles like a companion app will be add ons once I have a base product that meets the original goal.

    any input is greatly appreciated

    Thanks

Keep us posted, id be interested in a stripped down,, single tub unit. Somthin to check actual uth temp, hot spot temp, hot spot humid, and cool side temp and humid.
What would be really neat is if the display was just a small, flat screen that could velcro to the outside of the tub. Not necisarily small, just flat, with the wires for probes being detatchable, so you could plug them in through the air holes in tanks...that would be neat.
Its cool having smart people in the hobby...
Now if i could only make use of my blues bass skills here haha

Yeah, like something about the same size as an iPhone would probably be able to work. I'll keep that in mind.

You play bass? me too... not so much blues bass anymore but I use to be into that style. Stand up or electric?

Anything gibson from 70's and before is a freakn gem from the past. Theres no way any modern made instrument can compare to the quality of sound they produce.
Oh i also have a 1886 washburn potbelly mandolin. I inherited them all from my grandfather, unfortunatly, i play bass, i got big fat sausage fingers that arent condusive to those tiny frets haha
