I would keep it in it til it gets to be as long as the tub. But I have no experience with boas so someone else should chime in with more experience.

I would think that the tub you linked to is too short for a boa, but I don't have any first hand experience with them.

The 66 qt works great for boas in 4-5 ft range.

Re: tub/cage?
I just moved a 4 ft Dumerils out of one, and I used one as a quarantine tub for a 5 ft ground boa. For BCC/BCI's, I would suggest using the 105 qt tubs. They are taller, and you can provide branches or pvc pipe and such for the snakes to perch on.
