    Has my first attempt at breeding gone wrong??

    Am I missing something I put my male pastel in with my spider female on oct 7 they have be locking up ever since then shouldn't I had eggs already..she is still eating like crazy I haven't seen her ovulate she doesn't go on the cold side she don't wrap the bowl. Pls help

    Just keep pairing. Most animals don't ovulate until March. Did you cool them? By the way, the gestation process takes a while. Does she seem to eat a lot more now? Is she slamming food harder than ever?

    No I put him in for a for 3 or more days and then take him out feed then and right back in a day or 2 later.

    Ok, thanks for clarifying. Sounds like you're doing things right and it's just a waiting game at this point. Keep pairing them up and keep waiting as patiently as you can...

    O yea she's jumping out of her tub looking for food and just before that i gave her a small rat about 2 hrs before..

    One thing you will learn, just as I did, they do this on their schedule not yours.

    I began pairing in mid october, and my early female is finally glowing. The others are all building, but not glowing yet. It is a very slow process.

    when they glow are they ovulating? i heard it was just the head and "neck" that really glow.. is this so?
