    I'm pretty sure I just had a rat pop up in one of my colonies that appears to be brindle. I was googling and stumbled across this thread. I have looked at the calico's online, but they are not the same and lack the "tiger banding" that this rat seems to have. It litterally looks like my brothers brindle pitbull. I tried looking up the "Tortoise shell" Rhasputin mentioned, but couldn't find any pictures. I will continue the search.

    The rat is about a crawler now and was actually saved from a neglectful mother. He was about to be euthanized when I noticed the pattern and put him with another mother nursing pinkies. I will try and post pictures tonight to see what everyone thinks.

    I'm not to keen on rat genetics, but I have no other visuals that would be close to brindle except a couple agoutis and at this point, Maury couldn't figure out who the daddy is. This little guy will be held back though.

    Ok, I did look at some tortoise shell cats and that seems to be a little closer, but absolutely no white and more banding, I think.
