    New CL female pickup.

I need to block CL from my computer....but i picked up this normal female almost 2,000 grams. She is 6 years old and fed a small Gerbil once every 2 months...
she is not as fat as we all would like. but, not sickly, and you can tell in her face that she is old.. I am in love with this girl. :> i love normals!!!!!!

And here is a extra picture of PB (princess bubblegum) The orphan left on my step 4 months ago. She weighed around 180 grams. and today she is here almost at 700 grams. :< They do not stay small for long.
Then I'm tiny like a door mouse
    Short like a bungalow house
    Minute like a pixie
You can barely even see me

I have a thing for normals also... She is nice... I love CL but I have looked at so many snakes on there and I would say 3 out of 10 are from people who know how to take care of them. I tend to stick with the few breeders I met, and shows.... Theres even a guy on CL over by you trying to sell single morph femals (pastel, spider, not pieds or anything like that) for $1200 + because "Its breeding season" theres so many idiots on there.

Very nice pickup. Now get her on a good feeding regiment slowly and make her a happy fat bp
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

It's amazing that she is that big with such a horrid diet. Looks to be in pretty decent shape though. I like the pattern a lot too. I bet she has an awesome feeding response. Just hope she isn't 'addicted' to the gerbils..

Gratz on the new pickup !

Yeah. I tend not to just "rescue" everything i can. but, when looking for normal big girls. it tends to work out for me.
I would get to know some of the breeders and pick girls up there if i could. But, i work for pinellas county reptiles and every time there is a local show. I am working at the shop that weekend so our shop can attend.
I can always ask my boss to grab me a breeder size female but there is something about looking and picking out your own girls.

size note: That is pretty sad. I do talk to people who has basic morphs for sale on CL. Just go to it for normal. So i have yet to come across that person. >:[

Well he had her for 6 years. the guy who owned her said he fed her once every 2 weeks when she was little but after she hit 1000 grams, she started looking small for her cage and so he slowly went longer and longer without feeding her.

She took a med rat for me no problem. i am going to be getting her on large rats when she is ready. but seems to me like she wants any food. :]

Also thank you. I love her pattern too. She has a chocolaty tone to her.

Ah, ok. Makes more sense now. Glad she is eating good for you though.

Thanks you. She does have somewhat of a flecked alien head thing going on and lots of small blushing. <3 when she was little i always told her she was an "ugly" baby snake. (jokingly of course)
She turned that around on me. Now i find her beautiful!
