Any input would be really helpful ! lol
Heyy Some of you read my post about my recent rescue Buzz. Well I am still worried and would love input aha. When we went to the vet the first time he wasn't very mucus-y he got a shot of Baytril and the vet unfortunatley didn't know much..so I went to another vet in the same office who's more into exotics (she knew about the last visit and what treatment he got) and she prescribed oral Baytril , i'm supposed to give it to him everyday for 30 days. Hes got a loot more mucus now than before. I have the humidity kept up and someone in my last post said about more mucus, but it seems really bad and im not sure if that means he's getting worse ? Or if it gets worse before it gets better. And Its also getting realllly hard to give him the oral antibiotics. Im worried and starting to run out of money for vet visits lol so please if you have any advice please let me know ! Thank youu !

Hi,
How far through the 30 days are you?
I'd be tempted to ask for injections instead but it would also be handy to know if they did any cultures initially to determine if the infection responded well to baytril or needed something else.

There's this method that I saw in an online video of a guy that used F10 disinfectant to treat a mild case of an RI. If Buzz is undergoing antibiotic treatment, this may help speed up recovery and loosen up any mucus that he's building up. As soon as I get a bit more money in, I'm going to invest in a gallon of this stuff when I start building my collection, just in case I should ever need it.
Here's a link to the video: fast forward to about 3:20, it shows the method.

Don't know 100% if it'll help (as I haven't tried it myself), but it may be worth a try to clear his mucous build up.

From what I've seen online, some overseas and US vendors have the product. I don't remember where I saw the 1 gallon sizes, I'll have to dig through my other browser history, but this is one example of a supplier:

Just Google and look around, that's what I did. You don't need much of it, only 3ccs per treatment. As soon as the anti-biotics kick in better, probably even less
