    Escape question.

Last night sometime between midnight and 5:00 am our baby mojave escaped from his tub. We know how and the problem has been solved. We found him hiding under the couch a few feet away, when we found him he was very cold. Did not want to move till we warmed him back up, checked his temp with a temp gun, but not real sure how accurate that really is. My question is in that time period of 5 hours or less is catching an RI a real possibility? We are watching him as closely as we can, in the first 15 minutes he yawned 6 times, but i know he yawns pretty often any way. After that we did not see him yawn again.

Sorry for the long paragraph and thanks for any advice.

Anything is possible, but just remember that no matter where animals are native to their will always be short term climate changes. Continue the way you were beforehand and keep an eye on her.

I would bump her temps up a bit. While raising the temps for a snake that already has RI might not do all that much, I think it might help prevent a snake from getting one after an event like this. Just a guess, and if anyone knows otherwise please correct me but I can't see any harm in at least giving it a shot

    Personally I doubt it.

Think of reptile expos, some snakes are sitting out all day, then brought home which is still hours away.

I think you should be ok. I agree about the reptile expos. I would continue the daily routine and keep an eye on it for a little. I'm a newbie here so I hope I am giving ok advice. I am just going by what I have learned from this forum, the internet and some great books.
