    Question Throat turned dark?

I could have sworn one of my BP's had a white throat just like the rest of her underbelly. Last week I noticed the dark coloration. I thought she had gotten dirty, so I gave her a bath. It didn't wash off, so I thought maybe she had always been dark there or maybe she had turned dark there. Yesterday I noticed her soaking that area in her water dish. I thought that was a bad sign, so I got a wet paper towel and rubbed the area. Nothing came off. Do you think this is this something to worry about?

Is it a pied? Pretty common on them. All 3 of mine have that.

Yes, it's a Pied. So nice to know a dark throat's common, thanks! It must have just been a coincidence that she was soaking that area in her water dish.

    Re: Throat turned dark?

She went through a shed and her throat's white again! So I guess it was some skin left from her last shed. I couldn't tell from the way it looked, it just looked like dark skin. I'll know better to check under her chin for left over skin next time.
