    RI ;(. Need help

After work today I decided to take a few pictures of my female cinnamon who just shed. Well as it turns out she is wheezing a little bit. Took me a min to figure out if it was me or her lol ( I've been really congested lately). My question is can this be cleared up without a vet visit?? Before you bash me If it gets worse I will definitely take her it just doesn't seem needed at this point because the symptoms are so mild. She is still very active and isn't holding her head up to breath. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If it's mild then I wouldn't go running to the vet right away. Bump the temperature up a few degrees, drop the humidity. That's what my vet told me to do last time around. Should help clear it up.

But definitely keep a close eye on her... If you start seeing discharge, or bubbles, or if the wheezing starts getting worse, then get her to a vet.

Bump up hot spot to 95 degrees for a few days, don't touch the humidity. She should be fine. It could also be that she has stuck shed around her nostrils.

I second the stuck she. If it sounds like whistling, that's usually what it is. When my spider had an RI you could tell that's what it was. He sounded like he was forcing his breath out, he was bubbly, and you could feel it when you held him. I'd bump up temps, and keep an eye out, if it's still there in a week, make the appointment for a swab.

    +1 on checking the shed

This is what happened to my bp. She had a little flap of skin on her nose that made her sound like she was hissing/wheezing.

Stuck shed happened to me a bit ago. I thought my Meatball had a RI until I pulled a monster out of his nostrils. Now he's perfect

Thanks guys. I'll check to see if she has some stuck shed because it was more of a whistle then wheezing.

I would agree with checking, or adjusting temps and humidity more carefully. If there's not a significant amount of 'spit' or bubbles (or frequent mouth opening) then it should be fine to do some preventative steps to prevent serious RI. If it's come close to this...prepare for ritual shots, or oral meds from the vet. (GO with the shots) I unfortunately had to deal with this last winter and it wasn't fun at all

    Good Luck!!
