    Substrate Question

I have heard it argued by many people what substrate is best. Ive used bark, sand, paper towel, and newspaper. I always heard that pine shavings are horrible for the snakes respiratory system but i cant find any evidence of it anywhere or anyone that had problems with it or it causing issues. Has anyone here tried pine bedding with thier BP's?

Thanks. I may just stick with newspaper for the moment cuz i get tons of it for free at work. But they sell bales of the pine shavings that will cover a 50 ft area for like 5 or 6 bucks at our local fleet supply store. Once again thanks. just askin ?s.

Many people who have never tried pine loudly claim that it is bad. I've used it for over 30 years without any issues whatsoever.
