    Today's Rescue

Hi all, thought I'd share today's interesting story. I was preparing breakfast and my sister, on her way to work, yelled for me to come get something away from my mother's biggest dog. This 'something' was a medium-sized box turtle being carried around like a chew toy.

I managed to get it away from the bloody dog and gave it a good soak before releasing him. I never once got to see its face! Poor thing was too scared to move. Fortunately for us all he had zero damage and looked pretty healthy.

Nice. I used to catch those all the time as a kid. Me and my grandfather would drive around the back roads and get them off the road. They have some really nice colors and red eyes. But i havent seen one in about 6 years or so. Poor things are endangered now adays.
