Hide question
I am building my first rack tomorrow. My question is about hides. I see some people don't have any hides while others use only 1 in their rack.

Mainly up to your animals. Some do well without hides, especially in enclosed rack systems, and others need that extra security.

I agree. My hides mostly all go away when the snakes get to 32qt. A few of mine don't even need hides in their 15qts. You will find they will go under the paper/subrate if they really need to. It just depends on the snake.

With my 34 qt racks I have two RBI hides in them, in my RBI rack I have one hide in them. Some do okay without hides while others don't, it's mostly just knowing your snakes and knowing what they prefer
