I was wondering if I breed my male that is 100% het for albino to a normal female, what babies should I get?
    Thanks John Paul.

Normals and het albinos... Since het albinos don't look any different, you'd have to breed them out to prove which are het and which are normal...

    Re: I have a question..

Well I bought the het male from lllreptile at a reptile expo, and i got the female for free. Should I get half and half?
The female has never been breed and is ready. my male still needs to get a little bigger.

Statistically, yes. You have a 50/50 chance of each egg hatching a het. Unless you prove them out though, you can really only sell the whole clutch as 50% Poss Het...

    Albino is a recessive trait:

Markus Jayne's website has a nice page to show you how recessive traits work.

Yeah they would only be 50% het but do you think I would get some albinos?

    No dear.

That is what recessive means. Each parent must contribute one copy of the gene to make the two gene { visual } offspring.

From a het to normal pairing, ALL of the babies would appear normal. But half would carry one copy of the gene and thus can be called het. Since there is no way to distinguish visually a het from a non-het, you could only sell the offspring as "potential" het or the more common 50% het.

This is the same for any of the recessive morphs: Albino, Pied, Ghost/Hypo, Caramel, Axanthic, and the others I have no doubt forgotten.

    Gale
    1.0 Low-white Pied - Yakul | 1.0 Granite het Pied - Nago
    1.0 Mojave - Okoto | 1.0 Vanilla - Kodama
    1.0 Pastel - Koroku | 1.0 Fire - Osa
    0.1 het Pied - Toki | 0.1 het Pied - Mauro
    0.1 Mojave - Kina | 0.1 Blushback Cinnamon - Kuri
    0.1 Fire - Mori | 0.1 Reduced Pinstripe - Sumi
    0.1 Pastel - Yuki | 0.1 Dinker Normal - Akashi
    0.1 Ghana Giant Normal - Tatari | 0.1 Dinker Normal - Kaiya

100% het albinoX 100% het pied

    Try this: http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/

Inputting what you want, here are the results:

    Percent Fraction Morph
    25% 1/4 Normal
    25% 1/4 Het. Piebald
    25% 1/4 Het. Albino
25% 1/4 Het. Albino Het. Piebald

There's an extremely slight chance that your other normal could also be het albino, but otherwise you won't see any recessive traits out of your normal. Just more hets.
