Will the boob hatch okay?
I have a clutch currently incubating (mojave or pastel x normal), and it consists of 4 perfect eggs and 1 small "boob" egg. They're now 3 weeks into incubation, and so far it's looking good... shows good veins, no mold, and I think I even saw a little movement in there. Whaddya think? Is he/she going to hatch okay, and if so, will it most likely be a tiny snake?
P.S. The other eggs look great too, with strong veins and slight movements. One has flattened slightly, since it's at the top of the pyramid, and thus not getting much substrate - but not flat enough to be worried.
Here's the boobie...

And here's a pic of the flat-ish egg, which has some nice BIG veins... and call me crazy, but doesn't that shadow under the pen-mark look like an alien fetus? Creeeeeepy.

While candling it, or just a straight photo of the egg?

I think they meant just normal, but from the pics looks like you have some decent veins in there. 3 weeks in it prob would have gone bad by now, I say you still have a good chance with that one

Thanks! Glad to hear it looks promising, and I'll let you know how it goes... should I expect a smaller than average snake?

So long as the 'boob' end doesn't get badly infected by something that manages to drill through to the fetus, and the fetus has a large enough yolk to carry it through to maturity, it should hatch out just fine. Probably have to start it on fuzzy mice.

Thanks guys! I candled them again last night, and everything still looks great... serious movement in every egg now, so they're becoming real snakelets already. I can't wait to see them hatch!! Only, what - 28 days to go?
