It's interesting how some people hate Ball Python morphs altogether...

I'm intrigued when people vehemently hate on Ball morphs. It's not like they're hybrids. As far as I'm concerned, the genetic diversity that Balls have to offer can't be matched by any other species. The possibilities are endless and that's what makes them interesting. Just a thought. Posting it here because doing it on Facebook doesn't reach anyone that has any clue what I'm talking about.

I have a friend who hates all morphs, regardless of what species they are. His reasoning is, it's the same animal and doesn't see why people will pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for one that looks a little different. I can kind of understand his point of view because on the inside they are exactly the same, but I'm not looking at the inside of a snake every time I take it out, I'm looking at the outside. I love the different morphs, but I can see how some people wouldn't like them, especially with hets because you are paying more for something that looks like a normal.

Lol, I'll have to ask him that next time the topic comes up just to see how he reacts.

He has trouble seeing the differences in the morphs though. I could show him a picture of my butter or spider and to him that doesn't look any different than a normal unless I put them next to a normal.

Yeah...Whatever floats your boat, I guess. Some people's preferences are more simplistic than others.

Personally, I find it amazing how geneticly diverse God made these animals. Just look at the base morphs. There are tons of base morphs, and these animals were found that way in nature. I do not care for hybrids at all, but you have got to repect the beauty in genetics of ball pythons.
