Mini Browsers for Smartphones
I have a Motorola Atrix on an AT&t plan. Since I have a data transfer limit, I have been considering downloading the Opera browser which compresses web pages before transferring them to your phone, which uses less data. This comes in Mini and Mobile versions. I am planning on using the Mobile version, but I've also found that there are several different browsers available. My question is, has anyone used some of these mini browsers for your phones and do you have any recommendations as far as one or another being a better product? Thanks for any replies.

I used opera before I got an iPhone and had safari. I always liked it. Just clear your cache every so often if it starts to glitch and you should be fine with it. It gives you different setting options to customize it.

I use Opera Mobile on my HTC Desire, it works very well. Just remember that Opera doesn't load Flash videos or Flash anything automatically due to a licencing issue, so you have to "click" on the big play button that you see when there is a flash element on the page!

Re: Mini Browsers for Smartphones
Something just occurred to me. Before I download this, do I need to remove the current browser, if possible, and replace it with Opera? Or, will I just end up with 2 browsers?

You can have as many browsers as you like. When you do something that uses the internet it will pop up to ask which one you would like to use. There's also a check box to use your choice as the default. If you don't like the browser you can set another as the default or just delete the third party browser.
