My Jungle Carpet just tagged me.

I thought this would be the best way to introduce my newest addition. He has always been the definite "jumpy" quick-reaction to everything you do type Carpet. I don't care it he just bit me for the first time though.. He's friggin awesome. And really cool looking at the same time Let me know what ya'll think!

Got him from the East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley, Ca. Such a great reptile shop.
    The wound:

And this, ladies and gentleman is TARZAN!!!!

    No flash

    And one more with flash:

This was all right after he decided to take my hand into his jaw cavity.. such a lovely young buck... Well, I've only had him like a month and a half and they said he was a late 2009, so he's quite a big boy already. I have to say though that this was the biggest bite I have taken yet. Yaya, Not bad at all, Promise!

He looks great! Ya, these guys are not like a Ball at all. I have had mine 4 months now and I really enjoy him. He was a spitfire when I got him, lunging everytime I walked in the room. It was all a bluff though. I started picking him up and walking around the house with him and he has calmed down immensely. Very inquisitive, very fast. thanks for sharing

He's all show.. actually, after seeing him eat a couple times "close-up", I was able to see some pretttty good size needles in that mouth of his. I'm sure he could do a heck of a lot more damage then last night.

Lets just take his word for it.

Its crazy how we think the bigger the snake is the more "damage" they'll do to us but with carpet pythons anyway its never as bad as it turns out to be...One time was trying to feed my carpet a live rat because all he'll eat is live. i was trying to nudge the rat in his direction and on my way to putting my hand near the rat he tagged me. didnt hurt at all its more of a shock than anything else. below is a picture of him/her that tagged me and the bite. By the way lovely snake enjoy!:
