My second most anticipated clutch pipped... reduced fires. Loving it so far.
My one female, a reduced pattern normal, threw four reduced babes last year, in her first breeding season.
I have no doubt she throws genetic reduced offspring, but figured I would give another season before assuming anything, as last year she was paired to my enchi who is very reduced (95%).
So this year I paired her with my Fire male, got six eggs, and have been itching to cut, and tonight came home to find one had pipped.
The fire male is about 95% reduced, but did just throw a clutch of very busy patterned babes, so I was very curious to see the results of this clutch...
Needless to say I am pretty excited about this clutch and cannot wait to see them come out.
Bruce
PS: The one that pipped is a non-reduced normal.

Very nice, can't wait to see some full body shots on the babies once they're out. I've probably said it before, and will undoubtedly say it many more times, but I love fires! Lookin forward to updates on these little ones.

One dead in the egg from a twisted umbilicus and a few very lethargic babes, I do not have good hopes on this clutch. *sigh*

One fire dead from a tangled umbilicus, another fire died from hardbelly, three normals, and one that I am not sure if it is a fire or a retained sperm enchi... and a male (I wanted females).
