I'm pretty sure she's egg bound????
She's only 7 days over due but I've never seen anything like this. I've read every article and spoke to several breeders that are saying to "STOP WORRYING" but this doesn't look right. My question is would you be worrying? Have any of you had snakes look like this before? She's in a rack on aspen with sphagnum moss dampened a little. Her temps on the hot side were bumped up to 90 and hang around 80 on the cool side right now usually it's a few degrees less but I bumped it up on the advise from others. I haven't noticed her looking uncomfortable or restless but honestly I wouldn't really know if she is. Any advise is appreciated at this point because I am freaking out a little.
Thanks ;-)

Give her a couple of days, have you checked her vent?
In the unfortunate event that she is, you can either take her to the vet, or you can aspirate some of the contents of the egg, so that she can pass it.

The eggs are not close enough to her vent to be causing anything to happen there so it still looks good. I have no problems aspirating or maybe I will take her to my vet so my my vet can assist me. I just don't want to jump the gun and go to soon but I don't want to wait to long either. I've soaked her the past two nights not sure if that will help or hurt her in the long run.

She looks like a good healthy gravid girl. Generally egg binding doesn't happen often with females at least 2 years old and of good weight. She's not too overdue so I don't think you should start freaking out yet. Give her some good humidity in her tub, make sure it's warm enough and Give her peice and quiet.

Could this be the fabled 'Egg-puff-butt'? I believe that is the official term on this site.
She does look like it will be any time now. Please keep us up to date on her. Hope all goes well for you and the mama!

I have had egg binding happen to three year old girls with good weight. Both times it happened, it was the last egg that became bound. All the others came out fine. I am not saying that this is what is happening in the OP's case, but I just wanted to state that I do not believe that age and size has anything to do with egg binding.

In my opinion, that is beyond egg butt puff.... It is usually not so mottled at the base.
