10 foot Albino Python killed in Wilson County,TX.
Well in the news today a 10 foot Albino Python was killed in Wilson County, TX.
It had been eating roosters, chickens, and already ate a goat and dog on the farm which is was. So What did they do? They killed it....
It is sad that they would do that.
Yes I understand it was eating their animals but the python was acting purely on the instinct of survival. In no way was the python 'evil'. It was just doing what it needed to survive.
I think it is disheartening that they didn't call police/animal control...Anyone. They just killed it. Poor thing :/
Thoughts? Opinions?
Here is a link for a pic. -- the Python is pretty large.

I hate to hear things like this. I agree that animal control should have been called. At least then the Burm may have had a chance of being rehomed.

I doubt it ate all of the critters. It probably ate one or two animals and they blame all the animals that have disappeared in the last year on it.
I can't read the entire article, because you have to be a subscriber to read more than the first few apragraphs. Did they kill it? Pity, but I mean, a 10 ft snake acting aggressive is nothing to mess about with if you don't know how to handle them. Best would have been to call in someone with reptile handling skills.
It was certainly a gorgeous animal.

Poor snake, it was mostly likely a pet someone released because they didn't want to take care of it any more.

Unfortunately I can't view the rest of the article either. But here is a video that explains it....
It was so sad seeing it dead in the garbage :[ How could they?!

I know I constantly under estimate just how big of a prey item snakes can eat, but I have trouble imagining a 10ft snake eating a goat.

Yea no joke.... The snake's head wasn't even that big....
If it was a goat it would have had to be a small one....

Yeah 2nd that. However after watching the video I did see a few lumps, probably from a chicken.

Yea I think that python could easily handle the chicken. The other things... no clue.
