heat lamp light replacement bulb

my light bulb went out on my heat lamp. its a fluker's clamp lamp and it takes halogen bulbs (75 watts). i have the uth and thermostat set up but i like to have the lamp around just in case i need to raise temps a little, or lower humdity. plus is nice for viewing/taking pictures. my question is, should i replace it with the same bulb or get a blue or red light instead?

I would use a red or blue light for night time use. You can always put in a white bulb for photos.

thanks, 4 nights a week we wouldn't be able to turn the lights on at night because my bp is in my 3 1/2 yr old step-son's room and he won't sleep with any type of light on. so i'm not sure if i should bother with night light at all. i just wasnt sure if red or blue lights were better than a regular halogen bulb, for both temperature and brightness. and if i were to get a red or blue, which one would be better?
