    Feeding and Food

How long in is healthy for a BP to go with our eating? I just got a 6 year old and with the new environment and all she did not want to eat last night. I’m not real worried because she is a thick girl so I would imagine that she could go awhile without eating. I was wondering when I should try again or start to worry about her not eating?
Also she is eating F/T large rats. Where would be the best place to get these? I have tried the chain pet store’s (petsmart and petco) and they either don’t have them or are $10 each. I have found them online but shipping is $50 and I really don’t what to keep 50+ rats in my freezer. So any ideas on where to get frozen rats at a good price would be a great help. I live in Carrollton, Texas (North Dallas) if that helps at all.

It depends on the snake, I have seen instances where they have gone off feed for over a year. It's stressful when they don't eat, but they can generally go a long time without food, unless they start losing weight. How long have you had her? I say if your husbandry is correct, try not to stress about it. I buy my f/t rats from shows in my area, and I also found a local rat breeder nearby from craigslist so if I run out before the next show I just go to him. Good luck.
