Moving soon...can I take them?

Hi my husband and I are moving to San Diego in one month and I was wondering if ASFs were legal to own there? Or if I'd be able to restart my colonies at least...I don't think I should try to move them across country. Thanks for the info...

As far as I know, ASFs are illegal in California, unfortunately.

i no people have snakes in cali how do they feed them with rodents being iliegal or is there a loophole

They are illegal in California.

Domestic Rats are not illegal, but African Soft Furs are.

It is ok to have frozen ones I believe but alive not so much.

Most rodents are not illegal here. Live ASFs are illegal to possess because they are a non-native species capable of surviving and reproducing in our ecosystem, which would end up damaging the native wildlife.
Mice and native rats are bred and kept as pets everywhere in California. I used to have a few.
