    Food question

I have a female ball python that is approximately 800 grams. She didn't eat for 6 months. Prior to going on her 6 month diet she was eating one medium rat. Although she stopped eating rats she will eat mice. I fed her two mice earlier this week. My question is how many mice should I give her for one meal? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Food question

Two large mice should be roughly equivalent to a medium rat, although I don't like having to feed multiple prey items. There's nothing wrong with doing it, I just think it's easier and probably more efficient for the snake to digest if you only feed one. I would try getting her back on rats if you can. You might have to scent the rats with the mice at first.

But yeah, if you can't, however many mice add up to approx 80-120 grams would be good

I would think 2-3 mice at a time would be about the same. You can always weigh them and do some math

There are plenty of mouse eating bps that eat multiple mice at a time. If you didn't feed multiple your bp would be really thin, there's no way around it with a mouser.
