    My first Boa (Rescue)-Pics!

I rescued this girl along with a really skinny pastel ball python last week. She just pounded her first frozen Jumbo rat last night. Correct me if I am wrong, but she has been chewed up pretty bad in the past. Is she ok to breed in the future? She is an absolute angel though and loves rub her head in my curly hair for some reason. From what I can gather she 2 years old and a hypo. I know that boa size varies dramatically depending on the locality, so I am wondering how big she will get?

I would guess that if she is possibly 2yrs old she shouldnt get much bigger over the next year?
How long and what does she weigh now?

I know this is a BP forum and you have a lot, hope she doesnt become your favorite
I had a BP a few years back before I had to relocate for my job and although he was gentle and awesome overall I like my Boa's better.
I do want to get another BP soon though

She is a great looking boa. She is a hypo, and should have not problems breeding for you in a few years. Be careful not to feed too much. Snakes that eat larger prey items take longer to digest the prey than smaller snakes with smaller prey items. With jumbo rats, I would give her three weeks between feedings. She should get between six and eight feet.

Thanks guys! She is right 5.5 to 6 feet right now. I'm so used to feeding weekly, that I didn't consider that it would take her that long to digest the jumbo rat. It did not seem like a huge meal. She is too heavy for the gram scale I use for my ball pythons, so I'm not sure on the weight. She's pretty thick and muscular though. Glad to hear she won't be hitting 10+ feet or anything like that. I love my ball pythons to death, but she is my favorite snake to handle now. Much more so than my blood python.
