We just got one for our spotted salamanders, and it works perfectly, and has speed settings
    and its pretty small.

I wanted to get a waterfall type thing for mine. I didn't though, because I wasn't sure if it would stress him out or not. More than likely, they don't. But you never know.

The problem with the water falls are they are a pain in the arse. Good luck cleaning the whole thing out when it's pooped in. Yuk. It may also get the enclosure too wet bc of the consistently splashing water so in turn you might have to clean the enclosure far too often to prevent things like scale rot. Bps also Like to soak every once in awhile it's doubtful they will be able to do so with the waterfall. I was looking into one when I was setting up a viv for my tokays. I found out quickly it was more trouble then it was worth.

Re: What kind of water pump

I agree with Homegrown. You will have to keep a constant eye on the water. Poop and pee in it, if the snake gets in it a little the water tends to run down its body and right out onto the cage floor. They look neat but are a lot of hassle.
Too many snakes to list. Ball pythons, Gtp's and Boa's. It easier to say it that way.
