Anybody know why Walmart does not sell the accurtie thermometer anymore?

I've always used the accurite thermometers from Walmart and can't seem to find them in any store near me. Hmmm... They seem to have replaced it with this newer model that does not have a probe. It's more of a wireless part that comes with it now. Is this just my location? Any help would be appreciated. I need one!

People have died after using them is what BG heard. Something about mercury poisoning.

ps. BG could be full of it and not have a clue why.

I just bought a bunch from Lowes a few days ago. Check around the lawn equipment and garden area.

Thanks. I was unaware that Lowe's or Home Depot carried them. I think I should just invest in a temp gun.

maybe they moved them due to the seasons changing?? sometimes stuff gets moved around in my walmart for the seasons, like some bug spray and other gardening-related stuff. but yeah lowes and home depot definitely have them in the section with the bird feeders and stuff
