    Excited!

Last night I took my son to an event at the local college about reptile. We saw many different kinds of snakes and lizards. My son LOVED it. He kept saying "snake, a snake!! HISS! Hi snake!!"

We stayed after and talked to the employee that gave the presentation. I found out LOTS of information from him! I thought the closest vet that would treat snakes was an hour and a half away. I couldn't find anything closer. There's a vet locally that actually knows about and treats reptiles!! He just started working there full time so there's no information about him online.

Then ... there's a herp society! It's an hour and a half away... but they're trying to get one going in this area! WOO!!

Lastly, he has 12 different kinds of snakes in the basement of that building on the campus ... he told me that if we come in on a day that he's not busy he'll take us into that "employees only" area to see all of them, because we love snakes so much

I'm soooo excited about all of that! I might take my balls in to have them checked out ... the guy I got two of them from is not known for selling healthy snakes (another thing I learned there) and the third I just rescued so I know nothing about him. Plus, I can get them sexed by someone who knows what they're doing.

Cool! It's always nice knowing you have reliable reptile sources nearby! Maybe post your location so others in your area can benefit, especially if there's a new reptile vet in town

It's nice to see kids having fun with reptiles. My daughter is starting to get interested with lizards.
