How long in between feedings?
This is my first BP and ive had him for about 2 years now. usually he is a wonderful eater, always striking the food item seconds after being presented with it. recently ive upgraded food size to small rats (by the brand "artic mice" standards). usually i would feed him once a week, howevr recently hes seemed interested but then usully just looks away and goes back to hiding after sniffing the rat. the last rat he ate no problem. is it possible hes just not hungry? and how long should i wait to feed again, some tell me till he poops, others say stick with the once a week plan. i also notice he drinks water more than usual, even though the humidity is perfect. temp is also right on, and plenty of hides, all hides and bedding is from petsmart so i trust tehre are no parasites or anything as well

If you've double-checked all his temps and humidity, just let him be. They go off feed a lot. Just keep an eye on his weight and make sure he shows no signs of illness and offer food again next week. He may be slowing down feeding intervals, they got 5-7 days as babies and 10-14 as adults so there's gotta be a little transition in between.
if you look around or use the search, there's a lot of people who go through the same thing.

Re: How long in between feedings?
ya i double checked, all is well. i think sometimes i get a lil over worried about it >.< . and the reason this really got me is cause i recently found out hes a little underwieght, so i was looking forward to the larger prey items to get him to where he is supposed to be, but what u said makes perfect sense so i guess its just wait and see.

No worries, I'm high-anxiety too. I only know the answers cause I lurk here constantly making note of issues others have and the answers they get so I know what to do if I run into anything weird.
