best hognose substrate?
Hi! i recently purchased a western hognose (male) from the NH reptile expo yesterday. I am using aspen bedding as substrate and he still hasn't burrowed in it. is this normal? he just kinda lays in one spot behind his hide. Is there another substrate choice? for my BP i use paper towel. but he cant dig in that! hell, post a pic of your setups so i can get a good view Thanks.

I use the plain colored (not bleached) Care Fresh pet bedding. My hoggies love to burrow in it, and I like it better than most other substrates. I also love aspen CHIPS (not shavings) a whole lot, but they're more expensive.

I use aspen for my hoggie and I like it. She burrows often and the aspen holds the tunnels well.
