    Stubborn Feeders

Two of my 2010 bp's have been very stubborn with feeding. I wasn't real worried during the winter months because I know its normal for bp's to slow down on feeding. There has still been some concern because they're not breeding size or age so probably should still be feeding strong like my other 2010's. Im lucky if I can get my fire female to eat once every two weeks and now the past couple weeks its been hard to get my fire male to eat. My fire female hasn't lost any weight but she hasn't put much on either. All the while my others are pounding weaned rats and growing like crazy. My fire male ate good all through the winter but lately won't eat. Its frustrating and im also concerned. Im confident they are in good health. They act normal, flick there tongues, temps are good. I even bought a humidifier thinking that was the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....Thanks

Try smaller prey. While most of my 2010s are taking small rats, my Super Pastel is still finicky and will only eat consistently if I feed him fuzzy rats.

Thanks for the reply...I went ahead and tried some smaller prey and it worked great for my male fire. He ate two rat fuzzy's so that was awesome....Thanks! But my female fire still had nothing to do with it. She acts like she is scared of the food....live or frozen. At what point should I take her to the vet?
