    Question Rescued a BP, something weird sticking out of his anus?? (dont think prolapse)

    Was a spur, nevermind.... colubrids dont have them

    As Harald said on that forum, they are spurs--normal on some species of snakes. Ball pythons happen to have them.
    2.3 normal ball pythons
    .1 ultramel motley het caramel corn snake
    1. butter motley het caramel+stripe corn snake
    1. fiance I had to rehome my kitty, and my dog got cancer and we put her down. RIP.(Did I forget anything??)

    As stated over on Fauna, those are indeed spurs, and all pythons have them.
