Question about where to buy my next BP.

I am getting ready to get another BP! I am already addicted! There is a reptile show in a month near me in raleigh. Are there good deals at those expos or am I better off just looking at breeders. I realize breeders sell at these, but are prices the same?

I find that it all depends on the show. Some are cheaper, some are more expensive. Do a ton of research before you go to the show so you know what a particular morph is going for. You also may have difficulties finding a good deal on a bp this time of year because most of the new babies aren't born yet...

Re: Question about where to buy my next BP.

I've had success buying at shows. Some of the breeders there will usually work with you on price too.

There are two shows coming up in NC. There is Repticon Charlotte on Apr 9-10.

Shows can be a great place to buy a BP, but as others have said do you research on the prospective morphs you are interested in. Take a look at Kingsnake's and BP.net's classifieds, Also try looking at a few breeder's price lists to get a rough idea of what the going prices are for those morphs. I've never heard of a reputable breeder raising their prices when selling at a show, I've only seen them the same or slightly less than their normal online prices.

Even if you don't end up buying anything you may still enjoy attending a reptile expo. I can't imagine anyone who enjoys keeping reptiles not having a good time at a reptile expo.

If your getting addicted to the BP's you will most likely see something at the show you want. I went looking for one and came home with two. We went to one a couple of weeks ago I wanted to get another but hubby said no because we are getting a house. Save some money or take the plastic I'm thinking about asking hubby to take me to one of the ones in NC listed above.

NOOOOO! That's the worst thing you can take to a show...

I have found that it is easier to stay within budget by taking the alloted amount of cash into the shows and USARK auctions. But that is just me.
One thing I do like about the shows is it gives you a chance to meet some of your local or nearby breeders, so even if they don't have what you are looking for at the show, you can find out what they might have cooking in their incubators.
