I really want to switch to a rack system

So I really want to switch to a rack system but my girlfriend does not like them. So to make her happy I thought I would build a stackable display style cages. I was thinking about making them 36"L x 24"W x 16"tall. Was wondering if there are any DOI or tips that anyone wants to give me. The door is gonna be designed out of acrylic with clasp and hinged. Each base board was gonna be 1/4" so flex watt can be used. All the backs were gonna be slanted for a display light. A 2" x 8" rectangular hole will be cut and vented for proper ventilation. I have plans drawn up and am thinking about scanning them in. Let me know what you all think.

I am going to a rack system as well as soon as I get it. I have it coming in the mail. I have heard alot of good things about the rack system and its easier to maintain as far as i can tell.

Which rack system did you go with? I'm trying to decide on one myself.
