My Son's Animal Report On Ball Pythons

My son is 6 years old and in the first grade. He was assigned an animal report for homework, and he is so excited about our new ball python he decided to do a report about them. I thought it would be neat to share his hard work and enthusiasm with the community.

    Here it is:
My animal is a ball python. Ball pythons are snakes that live on the African Savannah in tall grass. He likes to sleep in rodent burrows. They are ambush predators. Their enemies are birds, cobras, wild dogs, and humans. Did you know that they are also called royal pythons because Queen Cleopatra had one?
Here is a pic of the diorama he made to go with the report:

That's better than some of the term papers I wrote in college, lol! Good for him! And that diorama is a nice touch with the details.

That's cute, looks like he did his research and made a really cool diorama. Plus, this will probably help some kids get rid of some snake stereotypes a lot of people have.

He wanted to go for high realism and have me glue a F/T mouse in there too, but I decided that it might be a little too stinky..

He did a lot of research and we wrote a full page of information down, but the report requirements wanted one paragraph that answered specific questions.
As a side note; I hope to use Monty (unoriginal, I know..) as an educational aid once he grows up. He is the most docile and tolerant pet I have ever had. He even lets my 2 year old daughter pet him. As a sub-adult (22" 260g) I think this shows a pretty good behavior.

That's cute. Is that really why they are called Royal Pythons? That's pretty cool!

Aiden got an A and was given recognition as having the best diorama in his class!
Thank you, everyone for your supportive words. He was very excited to read what you all had to say.
