Shedding/Eating question ?!?!?
Hey everyone Im just wondering what this could be or is it because he remmebers ?
But basically I got a 7 month old Spider ball Python that I got from a reputable breeder in my area .... Basically he was fed by the breeder every single monday and ever since I got him which was about 2 months ago he has never missed a meal and has ate for me on every monday ..... However he has just finished his shed today and I didn't feed him threw the shedding cycle .....So tonight I offered him a rat and he showed no interest in it ?
This did happen before on his last shed .. he finished on a sunday offered him food that night(sunday) didn't take it ... offered him food monday night the day after and he took it ..
Just wondering is this normal or does he have some memory that he knows its not monday lol ....I just thought they are really hungry after they shed and especially because he missed a feeding ..... Should i be worried or just try feeding him on monday coming up this week ?
Any suggestions will help with this
Thanks,

I doubt he knows the day of the week I wouldn't worry about it, as long as he isn't showing any signs of sickness, uri etc I would just give it a few days and try again. Although they'll usually feed immediately after a shed it doesn't seem odd that one would show no interest after a shed.

I have some ball pythons that will eat right after there shed, usually the ones that will eat while they are shedding lol, and I have others that won't eat for a day or so after. I think that it really just depends on the bp.

I have a new little Spider boy that I knew was fixing to shed but today was feeding day so I offered him his meal. He ate it with no problems. Almost immediately after eating he started shedding and I got to watch him. Nice shed no problems.
